Date 152 - Two Become One x5

Date: Summer 2015
Type: Wedding Season!
Cost: $$$$$$
Planned By: All the brides and grooms (but mostly the brides)!

DISCLAIMER: These are all my photos.

First, you may be wondering where we've been all summer since I have posted like zero times. Well, this post should give a clue.

Adam and I had the pleasure of attending several weddings this wedding season - and by several I mean 4 for him and 5 for me. Here are some highlights of each wedding!

May 30th - Kris & Sami
Adam's cousin Kris married Sami in Conneaut, Ohio. It was a beautiful day with a very nice church ceremony and a fun reception at the Conneaut Human Resources Center. We really enjoyed spending time with the family!
July 11 - Penny & Ryan
We were so excited for our college friends', Penny & Ryan, wedding in Columbus, Ohio. I was asked to photograph Penny getting ready before the photographer got there. I had a blast (and so did my flash bulb) then met up with Adam and our friends to get ready and pre-game (because that's what the Bride would have wanted). The weather was perfect for an outdoor ceremony and it was super cute and quick! Our group walked over to the bar to have a drink before it was time for cocktail hour and the reception. The reception was full of dancing, drinking and laughter. We had a great time - except that moment when Rachel and I dropped salad dressing all over her dress and Adam's pants. Oops.

August 8th - Rachel & Danny
Having two friends from our college group getting married within a month of each other was amazing! We were all so excited to add Danny to our bobcat family! They had a beautiful Catholic ceremony. The reception was awesome with dancing, drinking, fried chicken, mac n' cheese and summer shandy. I also enjoyed taking lots and lots of photos after the photographers left. After the reception ended (at midnight) we walked across the street to the bar for more celebrating - then woke up early to drive home. :(
August 15th - Jenn & Rob
I was honored to photograph Jenn & Rob's wedding day. I met up with Jenn at 9:30AM and stayed with them until 10PM. It was my second full wedding as the photographer and it was amazing. Go check out my photography blog to see more from their big day!
August 29th - Sarah & Bryan
Last but definitely not least was Sarah & Bryan's wedding! A little background: Adam, Sarah and I have been friends for many years. Sarah and Adam met in Kindergarten. Then the three of us became good friends (along with Cooper) in middle school. We got to meet Bryan last year and now they are practically our neighbors since they recently moved to our city. Their wedding was in Erie, PA. It was an adorable church ceremony AND they had delicious ice cream sandwiches passed out at the end! They reception was a lot of fun with (surprising and amazing) line dances, a beautiful hand made photo booth and delicious food. We're so happy we were able to attend!
That's it people. We had a wonderful summer celebrating the marriages with all our friends! We wish them all a lifetime of happiness!

Date 151: Aging Like Fine Wine.

Date: Saturday, June 20, 2015
Type: Family, Birthday, Out On The Town
Cost: $$
Planned By: All

As most of my readers know my sisters and our husbands have joint birthday celebrations three times a year. In the summer we celebrate Amanda (8/10) and Adam's (7/24). We had to celebrate early this year because we are all so busy!
First, we all met in Conneaut at our mom's house and had some delicious Sub Shop stromboli. Then we went down to the beach. The weather was pretty crappy and the lake was cold. Michelle dunked under and lost her glasses, but don't worry after some panicking my fantastic feet found them! It did get Manda to come in the water to help so that was a plus.

On to the wine... On our way out of town we stopped in at Buccia Vineyard. We sampled a few wines then decided to share a bottle of the Riesling. We all enjoyed a couple small glasses then headed out to Geneva.
For dinner and more wine we went to the Old Mill Winery. We all started out with the full sampler - tastings of all 12 of their wines (except Zak who had a summer shandy). Tasting all the different wines was a lot of fun - there was a great mix of reds, whites, sweet and dry. After drinking our samplers we ordered a couple bottles and finally our dinner. Most of us enjoyed some sort of their famous wine burger/meat and it was really good.
After dinner we went over to Geneva-On-The-Lake for a round of putt putt. Adam started out with a hole-in-one on the first hole. I got a hole-in-one on the second hole, but that was the end of our group's good luck. Adam won and Amanda lost. Jim decided to re-count the scores because he didn't trust Michelle - he was right to re-count.
After all the fun in Geneva we made our way back to my house for some patio drinking, Beerio Kart, gifts, Boston Cream Pie Cupcakes (made by Michelle) and fun times falling asleep watching movies in the basement. We had a great day together and I'm glad we are able to get together to celebrate birthdays when we're all in different cities and super busy. Can't wait until Michelle & Zak's!

Date 150 - ALLinCLE

Date: Sunday, June 14, 2015
Type: Out On The Town, Physical, Sports
Cost: $
Planned By: Dani

First off I would like to apologizing for disappearing so much the last few months. We have been really busy - with Adam and his MBA, working, trying to get stuff done around the house and yard. Anyway - lots going on this summer so check back for updates.

So a couple weeks ago the Cavs were in the NBA Finals - as everyone knows. So Adam and I had a basketball date in honor of the team having a great season - minus the losing part at the end.

First, we played some basketball at the Lyndhurst Community Center. I kicked Adam's butt at HORSE.
For dinner we went to Two Buck in Golden Gate. They had a King James Burger special (which I got and it was delicious). They also had the Witnessed Win Ale on tap - so we got a pitcher to share. It was pretty
During game five we thought it would be lucky to drink some wine - for, you know, the WINE & GOLD! Didn't seem to help, but the wine was good!
We also went to the Q for the Finals Game 1 Watch Party with Lauren and Matt. It was like being at the game with cheerleaders, dancers, half time performance and lots and lots of cheering! We had a great time, but it was super loud and they lost. ALSO Adam got to meet Delly at work the other day!
I have faith that next year the Cavs will go all the way! But don't worry I am a born and raised Cleveland fan so I won't get my hopes up too high. :)
