Date 80 - I'm Lucky To Have You!

Date: Sunday, March 17, 2013
Type: At-Home, Family
Cost: $
Planned By: Adam

Happy St. Patrick's Day! This year I told Adam he had to plan St. Patrick's Day since I came up with a great date last year.

So what did he do? Well, it's not actually what he planned, but what his mom planned for the day. He got lucky, and didn't have to do much at all.

Sunday morning Debbie, Richard, Madi and Jensen made the trip out to our apartment. We caught up for a little bit, and the kids had a good time playing with their cousin, Obi.
For lunch, Debbie made corn beef, cabbage, and cute shamrock shaped ravioli in a delicious bacon-cheesy sauce. We all sat at the table together and had a traditional St. Patrick's day lunch.
Living downtown has it's perks, and for more than one reason in our next activity. First, we all went outside to watch the Cleveland St. Patrick's Day Parade. We got some blankets for the kids and sat on the curb. Then people stood in front of us so we had to stand up. It was OK it was mostly for the kids anyway. About 30 minutes in we all were freezing and decided we were not having enough fun to endure the temperature. Therefore, we went upstairs and watched the parade out our window (second perk)! It was warm and cozy and we could see fairly well, and still hear some of what was going on below. I was much happier watching from above!
After the parade everyone headed out, including us. Adam and I decided to get a shamrock shake from McDonalds in honor of St. Patrick's Day. It was delicious, and I'm very happy we ended our St. Patrick's Day celebration with it.
