Date 117 - I'll Never Lego!

Date: Saturday, March 22, 2014
Type: Out On The Town & At Home & Theme
Cost: $$
Planned By: Dani

Sometimes Adam and I like to bring out our inner child, and this date is a great example of one of those times. We both grew up playing with Legos so we were excited to try out a Lego themed date.

First, we went and saw The Lego Movie. This movie was really cute, and had a lot great actors voicing the characters. There were a lot of funny parts, which made it fun for adults to see. I'm not sure if I would pay for another ticket to see this movie, but I would definitely recommend renting it. My favorite part of going tot he theater is the popcorn, and we definitely got enough popcorn to make me happy!
After the movie we went over to the Beachwood mall. Inside the Beachwood mall there is a Lego store! We walked around the store until we found the perfect Lego set to build. We picked one of the smaller Lego Castle sets. It came with around 200 pieces and was for ages 6-12.. so we knew we could handle it.
We went home and put our Lego castle together. There is a horse carriage, a small gate, and some soldiers. It was a lot of fun putting it together and then playing with it together. You can now find them in our guest room on a shelf.
The last part of our Lego date was dinner. We made Lego peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and Lego pizza! Both were really good and easy to make. I'm sure I don't have to explain how to make these, its pretty self explanatory.
This was a really easy date, and it would even be fun for the whole family. If you like Legos go try it out! For another kid themed date check out our I Don't Wanna Grow Up date.
