Date 87 - You'll Cave In.

Date: Saturday, June 1, 2013
Type: Travel, Family
Cost: $
Planned By: My Mom

Adam and I traveled to Columbus to meet my parents and Michelle and Jim for a little get away. My mom likes to look up fun trips around Columbus every year, and we thought we would join them this year to go see the Olentangy Indian Caverns.
There were a bunch of things to do at this place, but we started by touring the caves. We got a map and took the long, cold, slippery stairs down underground. There were a few different areas of the caves including a tower room, cathedral hall and echo chamber. We all took a picture with our lover on the Indian Lovers Bench. We had fun oohing and aaahing to hear our echos throughout the cave. Overall, it was a pretty cool cave!

We walked around the museum which had some interesting facts about the Indians that inhabited the area and the caves. There were also a lot cool artifacts like comfy looking moccasins, arrowheads and wooden musical instruments.

Next, we walked through a nature trail. We found some walking sticks, and looked at all the beautiful scenery. Afterwards, we went through the gift shop and I got a tiny lollipop!

The Indian Falls in Dublin, Ohio were our next stop. We had fun walking along the river and seeing the small, but really pretty waterfalls!

We also went out to dinner at the Polaris Grill, which was delicious. All in all, it was a great weekend in Columbus with my family, and we're really glad we decided to go!
